KANZARA is a small atelier in India. We hand-embroider bridal lehengas and gowns and ship them, duty paid, to brides in the United States, the Gulf and beyond.
Why we started
Two problems kept coming up. The first: a bride orders a lehenga online and it arrives in a size that was never cut for her. The second: the courier turns up a week before the wedding asking for a few hundred dollars in customs duty nobody mentioned. We built KANZARA to remove both.
How we work
- Made to your measurements, at no extra cost. Every piece comes XS to XXL, or cut to the four numbers you send us. Same price either way.
- We pay the customs duty. The price on the page is the whole price. We clear the parcel ourselves, so nobody at your door asks you for money.
- We keep the range small. A handful of pieces, each one worked properly, beats a catalogue of a thousand.
- We say where things are made. India, start to finish, in our own atelier. You are never guessing whose factory it came out of.
The embroidery
Every motif on every piece is worked by hand. That is why the work sits slightly raised off the fabric instead of flat against it, why a piece takes weeks rather than hours, and why no two are ever perfectly identical.
Where we ship from
Everything ships from India by express air courier. Ready-to-ship sizes leave the atelier in 2 to 3 business days and reach the United States or the Gulf in a further 5 to 9. Made-to-measure takes 4 to 6 weeks from the day we confirm your measurements.
